En esta semana se celebra el Día Mundial de los Humedales con numerosas actividades para conocer estos lugares que encierran tanta vida, algunas de estas actividades conllevan la observación de aves, especies muy fáciles de observar en los humedales aunque no son ni mucho menos las únicas que existen en ellos. En España tenemos unas 400 especies de aves y en un humedal más o menos bien conservado podemos contar del orden de 30 especies en un buen día de observación. Algunas son más abundantes que otras como por ejemplo las cigüeñuelas que son como una cigüeña pero en miniatura. Suelen estar en grupos pequeños y en la época de cría resultan bastante escandalosas para proteger sus nidos. Si bien diferenciar a las aves suele ser difícil ya que se ubican lejos de nosotros o bien porque son muy pequeñas con las cigüeñuelas será muy fácil identificarlas y difícil de confundir con otras especies ya que en realidad ninguna se le parece.
